DAY SEVEN

CREATED FOR HIS PRESENCE

As the author has stated before, "God created us in is image to fulfill His purpose--His will." In addition, God also created us to enjoy His presence.

TODAY'S MAIN IDEA:
God inhabits the praises of His people--He will always meet us there.

From the very beginning, God has showed us that He wants a relationship with us. From Adam and Eve to today, God desires to be with us and meet our needs. We must not forget that it was God who initiated.

"Adam and Eve were given everything by God, including the privilege of dwelling in His presence....Just as God was searching for Adam on that day (when they sinned against God), so He is searching now for those who will respond to His gift of life and worship Him. Worship is the place of enthronement for God, and He will always meet us there" (p. 40, workbook).

For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

2 Chronicles 16:9 (New International Version)

As Adam and Eve were made for worship, so are we! "The need for worship was inside them just as it is inside us" (40, workbook). We were created to respond to God's revelation with worship!

WORSHIP--

to show religious reverence and intense love or admiration for a diety

It's time to praise the Lord; showing reverence and love to the King of kings and Lord of lords. Spend the day in communication with Him, in everything that you do.

In closing, is there a statement or scripture from today that was most meaningful to you? Tell me.

Blessings,
Ken

  1. Oh Yes, Psalm 103:11 that is at the top of this blog post:
"For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him..."
This verse really reached out and grabbed me today. I needed to hear it and to be reminded of just how overwhelming and amazing the love of God is toward me, toward all of us. What an encouragement to know that the God of the universe knows me by name and desires for me to know Him and worship Him!
